About

Seowon Lucy Park

Engineer and artist, building at the intersection of technology and movement.

I study electrical and computer engineering at Princeton, with a focus on robotics, and I minor in dance and translation. I spend most of my days bouncing between a soldering iron, a dance studio, and a cafe (my love for iced americanos infinite).

I love building things that sit somewhere in between: a kaleidoscope you play with your body, a robot that answers hand gestures in ballet positions, a film of dancers in the dark with lights on their joints. This past summer, at an exoskeleton startup in Seoul, I wrote tools to check how a wearable robot reads the way people walk. I like talking across disciplines, contexts, and ideas; always excited to create and debug.

The ring

The front page. Turn it to move between robotics, interactive art, machine learning and dance; each one gets its own colour and a scene to play with.

Circuit studies

Four small interactive sketches that used to live on this page: traces that relax, a circuit that routes itself, a pulse grid, and a signal with an afterimage.
